USHIO xenonshort arc lamps are high-intensity point light sources. Animportant feature of this lamp type is its close resemblance todaylight in terms of spectral distribution. Therefore they areoften used in analysers on inspection tools as well as for solarsimulation. Due to the bright white light, commercial cinemaprojectors including digital ones use xenon short arc dischargelamps in general. Besides they are used for special effect lightingsuch as for sky-trackers. USHIO's UXL series are available in apower range from 75W to 10,000W.
